Welcome to day ten of our birthday photo challenge. Today's theme is ARTISTRY!

Make sure to tag your photos for today with #Flickr21Challenge AND #artistry Just a reminder, you can catch up on missed dates and we won't be 'checking' dates to themes as we are in a lot of different timezones. Do your best to keep to the right theme per day but feel free to catch up if you missed any days!

This shot from a trip to Carcassonne shows an amazing Felice Varini installation on the walls of the medieval La Cite. Without seeing this installation in person it might be quite hard to believe that isn't some kind of photoshop trickery but I can assure you this is pretty much a 'Straight out of Camera(phone)' shot.......
Obviously photography can try to document art more or less neutrally. Or it strives to reproduce works of art in a portraying way – selecting fragments, angle of vision, more or less context, the chosen time of day/night etc. adds personal perception as a layer of interpretation. With this picture I tried to recreate the overall impression, spirit and sentiments an abstract artwork left me with by rearranging chosen photographic fragments from different angles into a collage (original artwork: Tatjana Busch's installation "Frequencies" as shown in the St. Annenkapelle during EVI Lichtungen 2020).
