THE WEEKLY GROUP RULES

▪ Non-photographically generated images (traditional art, A.I., etc.) are NOT permitted in this group. Only submit photographs to the group—images created by light falling on a photosensitive surface (film or an electronic image sensor). All submissions should include EXIF and camera/scanner data. If you are unable to include this data in your uploaded file, you may list camera/scanner and lens details in the description field, immediately under the image title. Admins may request further file info at any time; failure to provide it may result in the discussion thread being closed and the image being removed from the Weekly Group pool.


▪ Submit 1 or 2 photos per week. No more than 2 are allowed per week.


Comment on/critique a minimum of 5 photos for each photo you submit (ie, 10 critiques for 2 photos)

▪ Vote on the photos you comment on/critique, as follows:

▪ New members MUST post an image for critique, before they can critique/vote on the images of other members.

▪ Failure to comment and vote in accordance with the rules will result in the removal of your own photos and suspension of your membership or banning from the group.

GROUP OPERATION
▪ The group’s photo pool is open for new submissions Monday through Wednesday. There are red placeholder markers in the pool, indicating opening and closing times.

▪ The group Admins will start opening new photo discussion threads on Monday, and will continue to do so until the week’s photo pool closes on Wednesday. Photos posted after closing will be held for the next week’s pool.

▪ The Week’s results are tallied and posted on Mondays.

▪ Photos that receive equal keeper & freeflight votes, or more keeper votes, will remain in the pool. Those that receive more freeflight votes will be deleted from the pool.

▪ Photos that receive:
- a minimum of 5 votes and up to 10 votes ... all keeper and zero freeflights
- 11 or more votes with a difference of 10 or more keepers than freeflights
will be invited into the The Weekly Group's Most Favored Images group.

▪ A submitted photo must not be edited or altered while its discussion thread is open.

▪ New member’s photo discussion threads will be created when a new member agrees to abide by the group’s rules on the main discussion thread of the image they submitted.

1) Please ensure that you hold the copyright on all the images in your own photo-stream, or have them clearly marked otherwise. If you post images to this group, you must be the original photographer, and hold the copyright on the image.

Advertising or self-promotion is not allowed, and will result in a ban from the group. regardless of whether you intend to post them to the group.

2) This group is about photography. Please keep that in mind in your comments, and refrain from personal attacks. Failure to do so will result in you being banned from the group.
