Some weeks ago, Flickr notified me that they would be highlighting this group. I had eliminated the submission queue a quite a while ago, because the membership has been pretty well-behaved. Still, expecting a higher profile, I thought it prudent to police the pool with moderation.

However, our admin group has suffered attenuation. Consequently, almost all of the queue approval task falls on me. I do it once a day at best, which means a pulse of over 300 new photos in the pool every morning, US Central time. Any post over 18 hours old gets onto the 2nd or 3rd page, where opportunities for views are few.

Returning to an unmoderated queue leaves us vulnerable to hyper-posters who post to hundreds of groups, without regard to theme, and to those who think that any inclusion of an artifact, no matter how inconsequential, qualifies as Architecture. These are not quantitatively dominated, but irritating like a thorn in the paw.

So, any volunteers for moderator? I would really like to get a distribution in time zones; e.g. US West Coast, South America, Europe, Mideast, India/Pakistan, East Asia. Reply here, or send me a Flickr mail.

Also feel free to offer alternative strategies.
