Does anybody else have this problem?

Whenever - and I mean for at least 1 year - I try to add a photo to this group by searching for it, it never comes up. I literally search "B&W" from among my groups and it does not come up as an option. I have to manually scroll down my list of groups organized alphabetically in order to find it. Thankfully it is just in the Bs!

Whether I am searching for the group from this page or from Add to Group under a photo, it always shows up near the top, both when searching for b&w and when searching for bw.

When I tried what you said, for me, it came up fine and without problems. I type B&W, and it showed up in my list of Groups.
