that sounds like an interesting idea. It will be difficult, to separate noisy, totally unstructured photos from complex compositions, which lead the eye through the image.
perhaps. but that's gonna be part of the exploration. i hope there will be discussions about any individual images that will define the difference(s). remember: this may be the first Flickr group on this subject. i am a very egalitarian administrator. right now the group is small so i'm posting everything submitted.
i'm already finding it interesting there seems to be an area where minimalism and maximalism overlap. in images anyway. when i look at photos that have been posted on the Urban Minimalism group (that i admin) some of them are also maximalist. example: www.flickr.com/photos/58493984@N04/5739969910/in/pool-urb...
and this maximalist photo might also be minimalist
