This group's settings allow members to post 1 photo per week.

If you tried to post a photo to the group pool and got an error message, such as "you have exceed the number of photos" or similar, this could be for a few reasons:

1. You already posted a photo within the last week and the photo is already in the group pool.

2. You already posted a photo within the last week and the photo is in the moderation queue awaiting acceptance or rejection.

3. The photo's safety level is not "safe" or the content is not "Photo, Images." *See over overview page, and scroll down to "Additional Info to see photo submission types: www.flickr.com/groups/minimally_less_is_more/

4. Your photo is already in more than 60 groups (Pro members) or 30 groups (free members). If this is the case and you'd still like to submit your photo to this pool, then you'll need to remove your photo from another group first.
*See over overview page, and scroll down to "Additional Info to see photo submission types: www.flickr.com/groups/minimally_less_is_more/

To check to see of your photo is already in the pool, you can do either of the following:

OPTION 1:
Go to the the photo page for the photo in question, scroll down below the photo and look to the right. There is a section that shows which group(s) that photo is in:

LiM Screen Shot Photo Page Groups

OPTION 2:
To see ALL your photos in the Less is More... Group Pool, go to the Less is More... Group Pool Page and click Contributors-->select your name, per below screenshot:

LiM Screen Shot Contributors

*If you've already gone through the above steps and still can't figure out why you're getting an error, post your photo below and whatever other info you can give and we'll try to help you figure it out.
*DO NOT START A NEW THREAD, IT WILL BE PROMPTLY LOCKED AND REDIRECTED HERE.*

Thank you!

Endless Anticipation

Hi, I’m trying to post the image, but it will not let me do so; the message I receive, “You reached the group’s posting limit of 0 items.”, I have only posted five images so far; none of the issues on your list apply either.
Many thanks for looking into the mater, Mooky.

Hi,

I cannot add my photo that you can locate at the link below:

www.flickr.com/photos/dwengland/50836126113/in/datetaken-...

it is safe, not in any other groups, nor have I posted any other photos in this group this week.

Please help!

David England:

It takes a while for photos to be accepted into the group.
You may have a photo that is still in the pending queue which means, I believe, that you can't add another one, until that one has been dealt with.
One of the latest photos in the group pool is one of mine, taken on December 8th.
David England Posted 5 years ago
Thank you for your reply and the information you provided. How can I check to see if I have one in the pending queue?
belincs Posted 5 years ago
David England:

If you go to the last photo you submitted and select Add to group you will see whether or not it is still pending.
David England Posted 5 years ago
Thank you!
David England Posted 5 years ago
However, it shows my last photo as being posted. Nothing is pending. So, I'm back to where we were.

There seem to be a problem with adding photos here -
I know: just one per week, but often I cannot add my photos ...
If the problem stays longer I will quit my membership,
because I find it somehow aboring ...
I'll try it a few times more , but ...
Best wishes - Armin.

That would be a shame. You have excellent examples of minimalism in your photo stream.
Karol ... Posted 4 years ago
Well it seems that this group is not curated anymore, information is scarce and adding photos to group is not functional ! It's my last attempt doing so, I hope things will get better...

Karol ...: What are your expectations? That there is a professional team employed to curate the group and therefore any photo, which is submitted is accepted or rejected within minutes?
If you read the different threats on issues submitting, you will find the information, that the queue is managed, but has a lag of approximately a month at the moment. This lag is relatively constant. That means, the submissions of new entries and the maintenance of the queue are at the same speed.
Karol ... Posted 4 years ago
Thank you for answering Zeh. As a matter of fact I have read Darren's instructions and also some of the threads on issues submitting and did not manage to find any mention about a lag resulting in full month queue, I have just found out reading your narrative. It's ok you can work things at your own pace, I was eager to share some nice minimalist pictures, guess I'll have to surch for a quick responding group to join :)

It’s worth being patient you know. In many groups your image posted in the morning has slipped to page 20 by evening. Where it will never be seen again...

Richard Harvey UK: Thank you, Richard!

Karol ...: For immediate interest in your photos and to boost your photo to explore, LiM is the wrong group. But, LiM adds attention for the photos selected into the pool. I estimate, the photo uploaded last, gains ten to thirty favs by being in the pool of LiM.
BTW: The statistics on the queue, I had for example, published in the discussion www.flickr.com/groups/minimally_less_is_more/discuss/7215...

zeh.hah.es. Posted 4 years ago
Susanne Cullmann the rules of the group allow you to add one per week. If you aren‘t able at the moment, please try on Monday.
At the moment, there are about 3500 photos in the submission queue, which is about a month until a photo is accepted or rejected.

Darren LoPrinzi:How long should none expect a photo to remain in the queue? I have had a few photos at different times awaiting acceptance and nothing has happened. As a result I have taken them out and added others with the same result. Is this a process of several weeks, days or hours?
MOD
mag3737 Posted 3 years ago
In recent times, you should expect "weeks".

At this moment (Apr 2022), there are over 2000 photos in the submission queue, and the number of photos that are processed is more like a hundred or at most a few hundred in a week.
R. Braley Posted 3 years ago
mag3737:Thanks for the information.

Today's review of the queue ended at photos uploaded to flickr on March 20, 2022. The lag is approximately four weeks at the moment.

It's really surprising which photos are accepted and which are rejected!

doro 51:

You will only know about "borderline" cases, because they may sometimes be questioned here publicly by the photos' owners. I think you would be less "surprised" if you ever saw the full body of photos that get rejected.
Michael Stierle Posted 1 month ago
I tried posting photos several times, one per week, but so far none was taken up and no info why or if rejected or whatever, e.g. this one that I think is quite minimalistic. www.flickr.com/photos/202356491@N08/54525829341/in/album-... Can you explain what is going on? Thanks
