Random Crap

Findo Posted 17 years ago
A thread for those random and useless links that are of no value or relevance to anything important. Be nice.

Recipe for Banana Fritters (as requested)

mix flour (self-raising) with an egg, a bit of sugar and milk.. I don't measure them, but just try and get a nice consistency - not too runny, but not too gloopy either. Cut / mash some banana into the mix.
Put some oil in a pan and pour out some mixture to desired size and cook as pancakes...

directed by the incredibly boring Ryuhei Kitamura... but well, Vinnie Jones is playing a maniac and it's supposed to be incredibly brutal.. so, why not ?
krameroneill Posted 17 years ago
Yikes. Surely, "Midnight Meat Train" is some kind of crude double entendre...and if not, why not?
krameroneill Posted 17 years ago
My house guest just alerted me to Sorry I Missed Your Party, an ongoing collection of flickr party pictures. This may not actually be totally off-topic; a couple of these things are gems.

That's fucked up... and probably places him somewhat lower in the standings for World's Sorest Loser, or Weasel, when compared to Ara Abrahamian, the Swedish greco-roman wrestler, who threw down his bronze medal during the medal ceremony....

a: because of the significant lack of youtube links in this group. b: the vintage feel, generated via an elaborate use of the tone range c: it´s cheap. d: and on the street.

"nothscp" tagged photos. There are some pretty good shots there.

fiveprime.org/hivemind/Tags/nothcsp

edit: hehe, it turns out that only travelight and I and Cafone actually use that tag very much, maybe this should go into the Self Promotion thread? ;)

I think there's a real market for cracked lens photography though.. especially in this post 9/11 world.

David Bailey on vacation in New York with then-girlfriend Jean Shrimpton, 1962.
Alastair Thompson Posted 17 years ago
It wasn't a holiday - it was a shoot for British Vogue.

The pics come from the associated book NY JS DB 62. Note Shrimpton's teddy bear in most of the shots.

It seems Steidl are about to reprint in May. Recommended.

Effect of HCSP on your photo stats

The peaks start when one of your picture gets entry at HCSP and goes down once it is out of front page.

For eg.:

Peaks- HCSP frontpage time
Lows- Out of HCSP frontpage time.
