Recipe for Banana Fritters (as requested)
mix flour (self-raising) with an egg, a bit of sugar and milk.. I don't measure them, but just try and get a nice consistency - not too runny, but not too gloopy either. Cut / mash some banana into the mix.
Put some oil in a pan and pour out some mixture to desired size and cook as pancakes...

My house guest just alerted me to Sorry I Missed Your Party, an ongoing collection of flickr party pictures. This may not actually be totally off-topic; a couple of these things are gems.
Did anyone see this? Some guy in Taekwondo kicked the refferee in the face. Overall it was a good day for Taekwondo...

That's fucked up... and probably places him somewhat lower in the standings for World's Sorest Loser, or Weasel, when compared to Ara Abrahamian, the Swedish greco-roman wrestler, who threw down his bronze medal during the medal ceremony....

wow. a single viewfinder for the price of one of their digis. more than 2 of their digis in the case of 12mm.
"nothscp" tagged photos. There are some pretty good shots there.

edit: hehe, it turns out that only travelight and I and Cafone actually use that tag very much, maybe this should go into the Self Promotion thread? ;)

That's straight up ghetto. I like how he hits the black bars as if they really are there. And the argument just adds icing to the cake.

My kinfolk make short documentaries for Dutch television. Their new one is kinda fucking amazing; as we have no "Blatant Kinfolk Promotion" thread, I put it here. It's about a group of Vietnam War reenactors in California.

David Bailey on vacation in New York with then-girlfriend Jean Shrimpton, 1962.
Alastair Thompson
Posted 17 years ago
It wasn't a holiday - it was a shoot for British Vogue.
The pics come from the associated book NY JS DB 62. Note Shrimpton's teddy bear in most of the shots.
It seems Steidl are about to reprint in May. Recommended.

Effect of HCSP on your photo stats

The peaks start when one of your picture gets entry at HCSP and goes down once it is out of front page.
For eg.:

Peaks- HCSP frontpage time
Lows- Out of HCSP frontpage time.

That is either truly, truly bad, or really, really good. It just depends on whether or not the nerdiness is a conscious choice.
