There's a special event tonight that you won't want to miss, a total lunar eclipse is headed our way. As this occurs, the Earth’s shadow will fall over the moon and bath it in a natural red light that is referred to as a Blood Moon.

Lunar Eclipse - 2021

This special view of the moon is best seen from North and South America but we’d love to see pictures of everyone’s views from tonight. There's plenty of time to catch a look but you may need to set an alarm. It's expected to start tonight at 11:57pm and run to 6am EST. The best time to catch the full eclipse is between 2:26am and 3:31am EST.

We’re putting a call out to all of the astrophotography enthusiasts, hobbyists and pros to share your photos of this rare event. We’ll definitely be creating a gallery to feature some of these photos so if you’d like yours to be included, share them in the comments below.
