Group Description

Thank you for joining Flickr for the Planet! This is an official group managed by the Flickr Community team to celebrate your photos of sustainability, conservation, and biodiversity to support upcoming campaigns for organizations such as 1% For The Planet and Climate Pledge. Your images will play a crucial role in highlighting the importance of protecting our natural world and inspiring others to take action. You can participate by joining in on discussions and sharing photography relevant to these discussions in the group pool.

Participate in photowalks at climate-focused events to capture the beauty and urgency of our environmental challenges. These events provide a unique opportunity to document the impact of climate change, connect with fellow photographers, and raise awareness through powerful visual storytelling.

Submission Guidelines:

Add clear, well-composed photos that show the beauty and importance of conservation.
When possible, make sure to accompany your photos with descriptions that explain the context, location, and any conservation efforts related to the image.
Engage with other members' posts by fave-ing, commenting, and sharing helpful feedback on their photos.

Group Rules

Stay on-topic
Make sure your submissions are related to conservation, climate change, or environmental photography.

Quality over quantity
Please remember to share high-quality images and content. Blurry, low-resolution, or poorly composed photos may be removed. We've also added a limit of 5 photos that can be added to the pool per day.

Be respectful
Disrespectful comments, swearing, or other abusive language are a violation of Flickr's community guidelines and are prohibited. Spam and discussions that deviate from the group's purpose are also not allowed.

How Flickr enforces the group rules
We may close unproductive discussions, issue warnings, or remove members or their photos if their content violates the group's rules.

Image Usage and Permissions
By adding your photos to this group, you grant Flickr and our project partners (including, but not limited to, 1% for the Planet, The Conservation Alliance, Climate Pledge, and other affiliated organizations) a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your images, allowing us and our partners to utilize your photos in promotional campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and outreach activities.
Your images may be featured on various platforms including social media, blogs, newsletters, and other communications. We will ensure proper attribution is given and will link back to your Flickr account wherever possible.
