A. How to add your photo in contest:

1. Go to the image you want to share
2. Click on the right pointing Arrow icon on the bottom-right of the image
3. Select "Embed" from the choices. Do not choose 'Header', 'Footer' or 'Slideshow'.
4. Copy the Code that is in the text box after making sure the drop down that is above shows "Medium 500 x ___" or "Medium ___ x 500"
5. Paste that HTML Code into the box under "Reply to this topic?" in this discussion.
6. Number your picture making sure to add a hash symbol [ # ] before the number without any space in between.

B. How to Send your Picture to Group:

1. Go to main page of picture which you want to send.
2. Click the "Add to group" link seen on the right of the comments box.
3. Scroll and Select "Beautiful Capture Group"
4. Press "OK" to compelete the process.
5. The name of the group would appear immediately in the group list on the right of picture.

C. General Rules for Contests:

1. The picture should Always be according to "Theme of contest". (if any)
2. The picture must be in Beautiful Capture's group pool.
3. The picture must be taken by camera (not generated by softwares) (Edited/enhanced pictures with some photoshop etc tools are accepted to an extent.)
4. The picture must be numbered. #1 , #2, #3 so on... without a space between the hash sign and number.
5. Medium size pictures only (500px)
6. One post per member (everyone can post own picture not others)
7. Every Participant must vote in the contest (in order to get eligible for Winner)
8. One cannot vote for ones own entry.

i have a little probleme with this group! First i can't invite my favorites photos here and second one time into this pool,i can't give any award because i don't see where is the image for copy and paste!

The codes for awards are at the bottom of the main page right underneath the discussion list. Keep scrolling down and you will see them.

I keep doing the same thing over and over again ie copy and paste and can't invite my favourite to this site. The Beautiful Capture picture won't show on her site. There's an 'x' where the picture should be. So, what does this mean? I've check and double and triple and more checks on my code. Everything seems ok but ~~ no show. I give up!!!!

You said "Keep care to put the number of comment asked but the rules" perhaps not in this way.. but I cannot found how much comment I had to made in this group when I add a pics after an invitation by a friend...

Hi Marie,

In the past, you were asked to leave 5 comments for every photo you posted in the pool. But we abandoned that rule, since most members don't want to give obligatory comments and awards.

So if you like a photo in the pool, please leave a comment and/or award to let the photographer know you like it. You may comment as many or as few photos as you want. It's totally your choice.

I may be totally ignorant, but I was invited to post a photo in the June Explore Beautiful Capture contest. I thought I posted everything properly, but I only see my photo in the group pool, not the June contest. Thanks for looking at my photo.

I am trying to post my photo in the contest but it is always appears very small comparing with the other photos .. I try all the sizes but the size doesn't change !! please tell me how can I adjust the size to appear in medium size??

i think no that there is no other method except this ...

1. Go to the image you want to share
2. Click on the "all sizes" button
3. Select Medium from the choices
4. Copy what is under the box 1. " Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage:"
5. Paste that html code into the box under "Reply to this topic?" in this discussion.
6. GIVE NUMBER TO UR PICTURE

If you mean a number to a photo which participates in a contest, then simply type it in the comment box before the HTML code of your photo. Remember to add 1 from the previous post.
Please use # before the number without leaving a space in between it and the number.

Beautiful Capture doesn't look much like a 'safe' group anymore. It's starting to look much more like a 'moderate' or beyond in some instances. Sad to see as I've been a member a long time. Are postings moderated daily?

We are doing our best to moderate this group, but since the photos are instantly added and we didn't restrict them to be screened first, sometimes several hours pass before we notice and remove improper posts.
Nowadays BC has many posts on a daily basis.
If you notice an improper post, I'll be happy if you could drop me a line.
You can also write to Sandeep.

Firstly check how many votes are being asked for. Usually it is 3 for each contest but sometimes we make it just one if the number of participants is low. Then cast your votes by adding a hash symbol and then the number eg. #1, one below the other. You are done.

Beautiful Capture Award

After upload I want award. Same is very rarely seen in this group. Admn. requested to make provision for must award rules in the group.

* Award should be minimum 5+ consecutivelly next from one uploaded , so that every members of the group get award*
This is very important and what is the meaning of having award icon/code in the group!!!
Need a positive reply ?

Hi to enter a photo into the contest "best capture of week 14" do i need to enter a photo taken that week or can it be any photo that has not been entered before? cant seem to find anything in the rules.

You can use any photo of yours clicked at any time or date. No restrictions. You could also use a photo you have previously posted in a contest though we encourage members to go with newer shots. Looking forward to having you participate in the contests.

With the help of instructions above, I successfully added an entry to the competition. But have no clue how to vote or find out how many votes are still desired for this competition. You need to add a "D. How to Vote" to your instructions.
